Hocking Hills State Park (Yes, this is Ohio)
Ohio's terrain ranges from nearly flat in the northern part of the state to rolling hills in the northwest to hilly in the south and east. Less than an hour's drive from Columbus, near Logan, is the Hocking Hills State Park. Two of the primary attractions here are Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave. We walked many of the trails in both areas in about a 5-hour period. This is not an area for one who is afraid of heights because the trails follow the cliff lines and some of the drops approach 100 feet. It's also not an area for anyone with claustrophobia because several of the areas are accessible only by passing through tight passageways and tunnels hollowed out of the rock.
